Colombian Rainbow Boas (Epicrates cenchria maurus) as with all boas, are non-venomous. Instead, they capture and eat prey by wrapping themselves around their prey and constricting them until they cannot breathe.

The Colombian Rainbow Boa earns its name from its beautiful, rainbow-like scales.
These snakes are nocturnal and are usually the most active during the middle of the night. They are Semi-arboreal, which means they enjoy spending time exploring the ground and being in the trees. They are also good swimmers, often being found in large bodies of water.

Diet
The Colombian Rainbow Boa eats small birds, small lizards, small mammals, and reptiles.

The Rain Forests and Amazon Basin in South America.
