Home educator Zoo club

Is your child a future zookeeper?
The Zoo Club is a five-week program designed for young animal enthusiasts aged 6-12. Children will learn various zookeeper skills, engage in theory-based learning, and gain hands-on experience with a variety of zoo and farmyard animals.

  • Duration: Five weeks (Wednesdays, 2:30 – 3:30 pm)

  • Ages: 6-12 years

  • Requirements: Children should bring a water bottle and wear wellies. Snacks are not provided.

What’s Included:

  • Five sessions at Beale Wildlife Park

  • Entry for one parent/guardian during session times

  • Theory workshops and practical activities

  • Certificate of Attendance

Please note, the course will only run if the minimum number of participants is met.

Explore the zoo as a family, with the opportunity to help us celebrate ‘National Mammal Week’ We are teaming up with the Mammal Society to highlight the wonderful mammals that call the UK home. During the day we will be running a pop-up with activities, as well as a self-led trail for the families to explore together. 

As usual there will be a range of keeper talks running on the day to enjoy as well as free train ride.
Themes for the day will vary month to month

Cost: £11.50pp this includes entry, activities and the trail (under 2’s free of charge)

Age: All ages welcome
