As a charity every penny counts to us here at Beale and we’re so proud that our team work hard to make sure that all the money we raise through memberships; sponsorships; visitors and donations can feed into our conservation, education and rescue programmes. This especially means a lot to us given the current cost of living challenges faced by so many.

Unfortunately, this also means that anything out of the ordinary can really impact us, and we’re sad to say that this was the case last week when we had a burglary overnight at the park.

We want to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to Thames Valley Police and the Thames Valley Rural Crime Division for their initial response and their ongoing investigation, also the local businesses helping us to correct the damage done.

Thankfully all our animals and our team are unscathed (if a little shaken up!) so another massive thank you has to go to the early shift keepers for their quick thinking, response and actions in the face of adversity!

If you have any information about this or any other crime you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or visit https://crimestoppers-uk.org/keeping-safe.
