Would your company be interested in sending a group to work at Beale Wildlife Park for a day?
There is the possibility of work on conservation projects within the Animal or Gardening Maintenance departments, with the additional benefit of time spent within one of Berkshire’s most beautiful wildlife parks and gardens. There is even time, at the end of the day, to explore the Park and ride on the narrow gauge railway!
We limit the size of your group to a maximum of 20 per day within the Animal Department, but we can take any group size up to that number – and we are very happy to book you in for more than one day, if you have a larger group. We can only take up to 10 volunteers at any one time within the Gardening Department.
As a not-for-profit charity, we make a small charge of £10.00 per volunteer, to cover administration/tool replacement costs.
Our Education Centre is available as a meeting place, and catering (breakfast and/or lunch) can be arranged for a reasonable cost. Groups may bring their own refreshments, if they wish. We recommend that each member of the group brings a bottle of water that can be re-filled on site.
Examples of tasks available to corporate volunteers are as follows:
Animal Department (group size up to 20)
Habitat maintenance such as tree or shrub clearance/fence work/coppicing.
Days available: weekdays from early September – November
Gardening Maintenance Department (group size up to 10)
Weeding/planting/general garden maintenance/renovation (painting)
Days available: weekdays in the spring and from early September – November
