Looking for a holiday club with a difference? Zoo Academy offers a unique experience for 6-12 year-olds. With an immersive zookeeper experience and a hands-on conservation project, it’s the perfect Summer holiday treat.
The timings for the day are 9am – 3pm. Activities are subject to change, but are likely to include: a train ride, conservation and wildlife focus (such as pond dipping, bird box making, creating bug habitats and garden ‘make and take’), supervised play, organised games and Zoo Club. Depending on the weather and availability of animals, this may include one of the following:
- Hold the insects and reptiles
- Weigh and wash the Sulcata tortoises
- Feed the birds and learn all about them
- Muck in (and out) with the farmyard favourites
- Meet the lemurs, meerkats and reindeer
- Create enrichment – and deliver it to the animals
- Groom and feed the ponies.
Zoo Academy runs from 25-29 July, 8-12 Aug and 30 Aug-2 Sept, and you can book individual days or multiple. Each day of the week will have new activities – however, there may be some repetition between the three weeks.
With numbers limited to 12 children today, the cost is £49 per day, which includes park entry for the whole day. Please note that minimum numbers are six, and the session will not be able to run if this is not reached.
Suitable footwear, sun lotion, drinks, snacks and lunchboxes (nut-free) should be provided.
Our Easter holiday Zoo Club sold out in 24 hours so please book soon to avoid disappointment. Please note that, to book multiple days, you need to add them individually to your basket (go to ‘checkout’ and then ‘continue shopping’ to return to the booking screen).
