Enjoys a lifespan of up to 15 years
Related to kangaroos, this is the largest
species of wallaby. Generally solitary, they will come together to feed in groups of up to 30 individuals.
The young are called joeys. The mothers are
capable of having a large joey still visiting the
pouch for suckling, a small joey in the pouch
developing for nine months, and embryos in
cold storage waiting to be born after just 29
days of pregnancy.
