Education

Our 350-acre estate and wildlife park offers rich educational opportunities for schools, colleges and home educating families. We have a purpose-built education and discovery centre, and access to 160 species of animals and birds, including rare and exotic breeds. For some down time, there is also a narrow gauge locomotive and several play areas. There is plenty of space for picnics, as well as both a cafe and restaurant, and a gift shop for any mementos of the day.

Our visits are self-led, although electronic worksheets are supplied to enhance the learning opportunities. All our enclosures have new interpretation boards which share interesting facts and information about the animals. An education officer will be joining our team this year and can offer curriculum-linked workshops on request and at an additional fee.

The price is £9 per student with one free adult for every four children. Additional adults are charged at £9 each. We welcome teaching staff to undertake a complimentary pre-visit and will also share our own risk assessment. Please email (education@bealepark.org.uk) with any enquiries or to book.
