Week day visits to Beale are quieter and more relaxed, with plenty of space to explore uninterrupted and low queuing times. Here are our top five reasons to join us for your next midweek day out…
1. Quiet time with the animals
A midweek visit is often much quieter, so you will have better views of your favourite animals – form zebras to pigs, and from meerkats to our new binturong.
2. Toddler and pre-schooler heaven
We have 40 acres to run around, including an indoor play room, Little Tikes toddler village, pirate playground and jumping pillow. Our pushchair-friendly paths are ideal to get your steps in and catch up with friends. Don’t forget, under twos visit for free!
3. Low wait times
Compared to our most popular dates, you are unlikely to need to queue for the train, and our cafe and restaurant are less busy, helping you to refuel faster and get back to the important job of exploring!
4. Learn something new
Your day out can be an educational experience for all ages. There are child-friendly interpretation boards at each animal’s enclosure and we hold keeper talks each day. Do grab a member of the team if you’re passing and ask any of your burning questions!
5. Bag a memento
Beale Park’s shop has a great selection of gift ideas to suit all budgets, including soft toys, pocket money toys, books and crafts. It’s the ideal place to find a special souvenir treat for your children at the end of a busy, fun-packed day. Every penny spent at Beale helps support the zoo and our conservation projects.
